Milan Řehák (f.1994) är en av Tjeckiens främsta och mest progressiva accordionister. Efter att ha avlagt examen vid musikkonservatoriet i Prag och vid Kungliga Musikaliska Akademien i Stockholm, har han vunnit ett flertal musiktävlingar bl. a. i Kroatien, Italien, Tyskland, Tjeckien och Ryssland.
Förstapriset i musiktävlingen i staden Pola i Kroatien 2012 ledde till konserter för Europeiska Radio Unionen och i musikfestivalen i Prag, samt inbjudan att framträda i olika TV shows.
Milan Řehák har också deltagit i musikfestivaler i Stockholm, Dresden, Salzburg och Milano, och har framträtt tillsammans med musiker som Jaroslav Svěcený, Václav Hudeček, Lubomír Brabec, och Tjeckiska Trion.
Förutom olika soloprojekt och konserter samarbetar Milan Řehák med den svenska cellisten Johannes Rydén och då främst inom genren Tango Nuevo, som t.ex under Ung & Lovande kammarmusik tävlingen 2019. Milan Řeháks solorepertoir innehåller orginalmusik för accordion, barockmusik, virtuosa transkriptioner och arrangemang av populärmusik. Han har givit ut sex CD. Mediaproduktion, konstmålning och natur är några av hans övriga intressen.
Milan Řehák (b.1994) is currently one of the most notable and progressive Czech accordionists, a graduate of the Prague conservatory and the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. He is a laureate of many international accordion competitions (Croatia, Italy, Germany, Czechia, Russia).
The first prize at the competition in Pula (2012) has brought him many opportunities such as a concert for European Broadcasting Union, a concert at Prague Music Festival, and invitations to TV shows. He has also performed at festivals in Stockholm, Dresden, Salzburg, Milano, and has collaborated with several great musicians such as Jaroslav Svěcený, Václav Hudeček, Lubomír Brabec, Czech trio and many others.
Nowadays, apart from his solo projects and concerts, he collaborates with Swedish cellist Johannes Rydén with whom he is very active in Tango Nuevo genre, and they participated at the Ung & Lovande chamber music competition 2019. His solo repertoire includes original accordion compositions, baroque pieces, virtuosic transcriptions and popular arrangements. He has officially released 6 CDs. Apart from the accordion and performing, he enjoys media production, painting and nature.
